Lead Student Accounts Advisor - Career Education Corporation
To provide accurate and timely processing of student tuition payments and/or refunds and disbursement of funds from financial aid programs or other sources. Additionally, may assist in management of school bookstore.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

- Process all accounts receivable, including Student Account activity, and emergency loan account.
- Work closely with Student Finance to process all student transactions in a timely manner according to federal, state, and company policies.
- Responsible for approving students for registration.
- Reconcile daily bank deposits and cash receipts.
- Participate as accounting representative in new student orientation.
- Provide assistance in management of school bookstore, including inventory control, supervision of student staff, reconciliation of daily sales and bank deposits.
- Process student and Title IV refunds in accordance with federal regulations.
- Receive, post and reconcile EFT’s, student payments and collection agency remittances.
- Maintain monthly credit card student payment system.

Required Experience
- High school degree or GED from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent) required; Associate degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of A/R processing
- Excel and Word applications
